Hi Ian,

first happy new year!

1.) There are 6 tabs above. The full description is in the advanced tab :)

2.) Do you have a link? There should be no image on the calendar. And you should not use images in the brief description.

3.) Hmm added it the wish-list.

4.) No currently not. Have that on the wish-list though (with HTML5 gelocation service)

5.) Hmm depends always on the country you are in. But i have a setting or that on the todo-list.

6.) You can't currently, because custom fields may contain data. You can just unpublish event custom fields currently.

7.) Yes stats are only accessible through the backend currently.

8.) There are two almost identical mails send, one to the organizer (with XML), one to the user. XML file can be used for other software to import. You can just disable it in the settings.

9.) Would need to look at your site to answer that. Because this is the job of your joomla template and not Matukio. The value has underscore because it needs to be working with JavaScript / HTML. This is currently a technical limitation.

10.) Can you explain a bit more?

11.) Not sure what you mean. Which thumbnail? We don't show images in the event detail page.

12.) Still have it on the todo-list and working on 5.3. How would you like that in? Can you explain it mathematical? :) Linear or progressive?..

13.) There is a setting in the configuration for terms and conditions. Just put your text into that, you then have an checkbox the user needs to confirm before booking.

14.) This is just one line of css..

Thanks for the speedy reply, **I** know that **MY** ticket was THE most important :lol: so I've been sittin gon the edge on my seat waiting for the reply!! I appreciate, after a break away, there's probably a gazillion support requests so I appreciate you quick response! Thanks!!

2. File attached (matukio01.jpg) showing what's happening. You can do it yourself at www.ckdev.info/party/events/all-events (click to change months to February). You'll also see the white text on the yellow BG doesn't show. Now I did change that with CSS as I have a, technically, dark sheet BG due to the transparency and I needed it visible. Happy with the way the rest is looking with the changes I made. Wondered if that text has a separate CSS class?

3. As I said, this is SUPER critical to my client and, if you get your head around what she does, then you'll see why (you can see her current site athttp://partybrushesevents.com/calendar)

7. A view from the frontend would be awesome if your wish-list has space on it!!

9. OK - Really need to get these stacked to make it look nice. I don't remember there being an option in Themler (what I used for the template) to force vertical v horizontal.

10. See matukio02.jpg - would be useful (sometimes) to force a user to confirm their email address if we're sending info to them.

11. See matukio03.jpg - after writing this I saw another thread where you or Daniel reported that this isn't currently able to be disabled. It's OK>

12. This, I believe is important to anyone doing ticket sales. I think there needs to be options how it will be handled. For example:

A. More than "x" tickets - so $40 for 1-4 tickets, $35 if booking 5+
B. A user settable %age discount - this I've normally seen as an "Early Bird Discount" so would also need a cut off date

I have a component called j-Business Directory which also does event booking, but it's not a dedicated event component do it didn't give all the functions Matukio does. I have attached a screenshot of their discount setup page - matukio04.jpg. A and B above is how they handle it with theirs, plus they also have a normal coupon too as Matukio does.

As a (maybe) quick workaround for scenario A, it may be easier to add code to the coupon functions which allows for an extra parameter to be added to a coupon that detects # of tickets selected and applies a "hidden" coupon code to reduce the ticket cost. So, allow us to set a per ticket discount after "x" tickets of "x"5 or "$x". Have the component check with an if, else (if $ticket_number <2 $cost-->$tciket_cost-$discount, else... normal price). Yes, horrible code; I'm no coder, but hopefully you get the idea. Hikashop has this function where you can select to have a discount applied automatically. Hope that all helps and makes sense.

13. I did put the terms text in that box. Where/when does it show up? It doesn't show on the 1st page where the user enters their details.

Sorry this was such a big list - glad some was already on the drawing board.

When I pay for an extension, I always hope that means I'll get better support than a freebie - stands to reason really. Nearly 2 weeks ago I asked for further help, and followed up with a further request nearly a week ago. I hope this is not going to be the speed of support I can look forward to going forward. I have a website waiting for a response and a client who is getting quite annoyed at the delay.

If these requests are unable to be implemented please let me know as I need to get going on this site and get it live.

11.) Yes the image "belongs" to the template currently. You can use the modern template, disabling it there is easy with CSS

12.) Hmm going to think on something . This requires a lot of work, because Matukio has a lot more complex payment / discount system).

13.) On the last page of the booking form, before the booking form. (Page two or three)

I thought it was strange you didn't reply hence the follow ups.

2. Yes I do have an image in the brief description (I just removed all the text). It is an existing image - why does it not show in the tooltip popup? I have searched the CSS files and cannot find anything including qtip so I'm totally stumped there.

12. I believe this is a very important addition. The client currently has a $40 ticket price for one, or $36 each for 2 or more. I'm not a programmer so don't understand what I'm asking, but, it seems to me, this is a common practice - as much so as the early bird which is already part of Matukio.

Not sure, i think this is an issue with qtip, which destroys the image URL. This is one of the reasons we had html turned off for short description for a long time. Added it to my todo-list for debugging.

New request. Is there a simple way to show revenue from each event somewhere? On one of the reports - Total this event = $xxx.xx for example?


Hmm there are only the statistics. Have that on my todo-list for a later version in the date overview.

#12 as i said something is going to come with Matukio 5.3 for that. Not sure if it is going to be 100% like you asked for, more linear probably.

#3 Did not forget you, have to look into it first and make a calculation, roughly 200 Euro or so..

Client can probably work around the discount part for a while, but she really baulked at paying anything else for development. To keep her happy, I'd be prepared to pay for it, but not E200 as I would have to wear it.

I gave you feedback on the Alpha release 5-6 days ago. Couple of big things I noticed - front end reports have completely gone. Secondly the image in the calendar didn't appear to make the cut. compojoom.com/forum/102-newbie-area/2127...pha-release-feedback

I'm needing to get the site live so have engaged my programmer to deal with the image thing, however the missing reports had me concerned, although I can go back to the stable release.

Which frontend reports do you mean? There shouldn't be changed anything in this direction.

And the image for the calendar is integrated as i promised you. Just not activated, as i wanted people to focus on the updated fullcalendar (which was really a mess).

There were reports that showed who had registered for an event and how much they'd paid. Also the ability to print out a registration sheet and/or check-in people with a QR code at the site. None of those buttons show on the detail page anymore.

Also, I notice that, if you click "Print" at the bottom of the details page the printout does not show up the image which is included in the description.
